The last radar contact was observed at 11.26 hrs with the aircraft on a westerly heading at an altitude of 3,300 ft in the vicinity of Glenmacnass Waterfall, northeast of Tonelagee Mt, Co. Wicklow. Weather conditions at the time were difficult, with strong winds, low cloud and poor visibility. The aircraft was found, impacted into boggy terrain, near the summit of Corriebracks Mt. in Co. Wicklow. The four occupants were fatally injured.
